... I agree with the other reviews here: don't bother with this coffee maker. The question is how do they put this to market knowing (they had to know) all of these flaws? Yes, the carafe will leak EVERY time you pour a cup. And steam will escape when you pour and could burn your hand if not careful. The filter basket must be "locked" into place under a little protrusion in the back -- if it isn't then the coffee won't filter through and will back up, making a disaster of a mess. I am amazed how difficult it is to find a reliable coffee maker at a reasonable price. The search continues... ...
