... We were initially very pleased with this machine. It broke within the warranty period. Subsequently dealing with their "customer care" center has been anything but caring. We were first told that it would be no problem to repair the machine and at no cost to us, based on our serial number. Subsequently, we shipped it, at our expense, to the closest repair place as recommended by Tassimo (there are very few in Canada and none in Toronto). Tassimo is now refusing to cover the cost of the repair as promised or to help us further(they are now saying we were given incorrect information by their customer service representative and they will speak to him!). We have been given the runaround for 2 weeks by Tassimo's care center, costing us time and money in phone calls etc. Further, the machine with very moderate use, broke quickly! It just stopped working one morning after making a cup coffee. Do not buy this product if you expect it to last more than a year and more importantly if there is a problem Tassimo will not stand behind it's warranty or it's product. Too bad, we liked the machine and the coffee while it lasted. We will buy from a competitor next. We were a loyal, repeat customer, which was of no interest to this company. (Note; the repair would be about $70, which we certainly could afford but based on our experience, we will not deal with this company further.) Be very wary of what this company promises.
