... We used our department-store wedding gift cards to purchase the $100 KitchenAid coffee maker two years ago. It made great coffee. Then one morning, about seven months after we'd brought it home, it came up with an "Err2" message. I called the KitchenAid company, and they said that this error message could not be remedied. We returned it to the company (they paid the postage, etc.), and they sent us a free replacement. Now, a little more than 13 months later (now past the one-year warranty), the replacement has come up with the same error message. I do not recommend this coffee maker. With the Err2 problem, the heating element won't even come on, so it can't even be used to keep a pot of coffee warm. It's completely useless. ...
